Is it possible to manually focus the SP-510 UZ?
Occasionally it is desirable to have the ability to manually focus a digital camera. A good example is shooting through the windows of a tour bus on a rainy day. The camera may choose to focus on the raindrops on the window rather than the actual subject. The SP-510 UZ offers a manual focus mode. To enable it, set the mode dial to any still image shooting mode except AUTO or GUIDE, and then press the MENU button. CAMERA MENU is selected by default. Press the OK/FUNC button to access the Camera Menu. Use the arrow pad to navigate to and select FOCUS MODE. Press the Right arrow to access the Focus Mode options. Use the arrow pad to select MF, and then press OK/FUNC to activate the setting. Finally, press MENU twice to exit the menus.
