Although there are a lot of RPC methods and fixed data models specified by the Broadband Forum (BBF), there may be some situation in which you will need your own data model or at least vendor specific parameters and/or RPC methods within an your device stack. The BBF defined a way which allows the definition of vendor-specific parameters as well as vendor-specific RPC methods. Extending the TR-069 stack of a device this way allows you to use the CWMP for nearly any imaginable task. Axiros’ ACS as well as Axiros’ CWMP client support those extensibility options. So you aren’t restricted to the methods and parameters the BBF already defined. Using Axiros CWMP solutions, you can manage ANY device, no matter which type it is.
