Is it possible to make the information and communication technologies sector as profitable as the oil sector?
The information and communication technologies have a great impact on the effective and innovative development of all spheres of global economy and play an irreplaceable infrastructural role. ICT has become an important condition of the development of all spheres of global economy and on the other hand it is also an indicator of development of these spheres. Practice shows that information technologies play a special role in the development of the nonoil sector. Along with being a catalyzer of the industrialization of the present-day world and socioeconomic growth, ICT is a sphere that is most developed in Azerbaijan after oil industry.
