Most certainly and while the number of games is limited (after Unreal Tournament dropped the feature at the last minute) there is one reason to do it alone, Gran Turismo 3. It’s possible to link up 3 Playstation 2’s and in split screen mode it’s possible to have 6 (human) player racing.
