Is it possible to lay tile over laminate counter tops?

The correct way to install tile to a counter is to remove the laminate tops.Install 3/4 plywood place aqua guard over it then attach wire lath and float. The proper homeowner method is the same except instead of aqua bond, lathe and float its 3/4 plywood 1/4 inch backerboard and install tile.If your hellbent on installing over laminate make sure you use an acrylic modified thinset remember I didn’t recomend to do this but the modified thinset is your best hope for a bond.
