The Advanced Mission Display System(AMDS) is able to integrate information from other ground-based support systems. The Advanced Mission Display System(AMDS) solution includes the functionality to accept date from external systems such as the crew management system, as part of the validation process of crew members logging into the Advanced Mission Display System(AMDS). Similarly, information directed to the airborne system, from flight following or flight dispatch, is send using the Iridium satellite communications network, or via secure Bluetooth communications while the aircraft is on ground.
