Yes, it is possible to install a single retail license of Mac OS X on as many Macs as you want, but it’s against the End User License Agreement. Apple recommends buying a family pack for just a little more ($49). The family pack legally allows you to install the OS on up to five Macs that are within the same household. A “genuine advantage” (sorry, I couldn’t resist 🙂 of Mac OS X is that Apple does not do OS activations. They treat everyone as honest people, whereas Microsoft treats everyone as guilty until they’re proven innocent by providing a valid activation code. Let’s keep it that way by being honest and installing a single-user license on a single Mac.
