Is it possible to install KNOPPIX 4.0 live DVD onto HDD instead of booting from disk?

I have recently purchased KNOPPIX 4.0 live DVD edition, as a test for using linux…to see if i wanted to install…and can’t figure out if it is possible to install in on a partition of my hard drive as a second operating system (other being MS windows pro) which might i add won’t stop crashing (driver clash i’m still trying to figure out). so it would be a great help if someone could tell me if it is possible to boot it from my partitioned HDD instead of the live disk, and if i can’t what would you reccomend i purchase to recieve the best experience from linux. my system is: (if needed for recommending anything) 3.2Ghz P4 socket 478 CPU XpertVision ATI Radion X800 Graphics Card SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 sound card 2 x 512Mb GEiL PC3200 DDR400 RAM ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe Motherboard 1 x 80Gb Maxtor IDE HDD (OS and application) 1 x 200Gb Seagate SATA HDD Currently running Microsoft windows Pro w/SP2, Wanting Linux on a seperate partition) I plan to do a clean install of windows soon to
