Right now, only intersections where past accident history and/or reports from police indicate that drivers have frequently been running red lights qualify for the cameras. Since the transportation infrastructure of the Blue Ball site is being significantly altered with the establishment of new roadways, the separation of local and commuting traffic, and the repositioning or addition of traffic signals, there is no justification for adding cameras at this time. Once the project is completed, and if there is a demonstrated need for the inclusion of the cameras, a study will be done to see if such a course of action is warranted.
