Is it Possible to have Duplicated Balloon IDs (names)?
Balloon race participants who purchase balloons at more than one session might think that duplicates have occurred. But the answer is that no two balloons have the same ID as all are unique! Let us suppose that John Smith, say, buys 5 balloons at two separate purchases over the Internet, taking his total balloon purchases to 10. At his first web session John will be given an incremental race tag, for example RABR 2001 and his 5 balloons are labelled by the race site as John Smith 1 to John Smith 5. If 2 days later he buys 5 more balloons, John will be given a new incremental race tag, for example RABR 2021, implying that 20 [2001 to 2021 = 20] other purchasers have visited the race site since his original visit and his present web session. His 5 new balloons will also be similarly labelled by the race site as John Smith 1 to John Smith 5.
