Is it possible to have a febrile convulsion without the seizure?
hi there my son had his first fit at 15 months it was a 3hour full on seizure this was a febrile convulsion, which lead on to epilepsy (however this is very rare) fits come in different types and they don’t have to shake jerk to have a fit. a febrile convulsion is simply where the child’s temperature shoots up at a fast rate and the body goes into overdrive because it cant cope, the seizures are not harmfull although the scariest thing you will ever see as a parent, if you Research febrile convulsions in detail im sure it will put your mind at ease as they are much more common than people think.
