However, those without the Burning Crusade expansion will be unable to level their characters past 60, will be unable to visit the new areas, Exodar and the Outlands, and so will be unable to acquire the superior equipment which is available there. In addition, it is likely that players without the Burning Crusade will find it difficult to find other players willing to form parties to the standard small-group instances such as Stratholme and Scholomance let alone the raid instances such as Molten Core or Blackwing Lair. After all, equipment comparable to what is available from Molten Core or Blackwing Lair is easily available as quest rewards from Outlands so why would players waste their time conquering difficult content in return for only meagre rewards?
