Yes, it is possible to get the market cap of a company on a specific date. This can be done using the Bloomberg History Wizard in Excel. Click on History Wizard (the “H” symbol). Enter the the tickers of the companies you are interested in. After you click on next, you will see a list of fields you can select. Select “current market cap” under “Fundamentals – Financial Ratio.” Finish the wizard by setting the time period or date you are interested.
