Yes, you can get a train to Liverpool South Parkway, which is pretty close to the airport. Get a train to Warrington Bank Quay (most trains that go south from Wigan North Western will stop at Warrington), then walk to Warrington Central and get a train from there to Liverpool South Parkway. Or if you don’t fancy the walk, get a train from Wigan North Western to Liverpool Lime Street, then go down the escalators and get a Wirral Line underground train to Liverpool Central, then a Northern Line train (towards Hunts Cross) to Liverpool South Parkway.
