Ue a power drill with a low torque speed, or if your drill is an older electric type keep the speed low. That is viatl. Whe you have decided where you want to drill the hole, using some masking tape place some exactly over the middle of wher your hole is goint to be and go around the tile so that it meets up underneath. Using a carbon tipped/or masonary drill, very slowly begin to drill. If the tape move, replace it immediately making sure it is fully pushed down. Again slowly start to drill again. It may take a few minutes – don’t be tempted to rush or it will split in two. If possible, try to drill on a broken tile first, or a tile that has already been broken. Time is the important factor. Remember the old adage: More haste less speed.
