Is it possible to delete a pre-installed operating system of a pc by removing operating system files?

Don’t do it! You must have some type of Operating System (OS), it is the controller between the hardware and application software. If you are using two, then you can delete one, but the OS must be uninstalled for there are other control files which are updated during OS installation which control boot (files executed when you turn your computer on), disk management, communications management, etc. There is usually an uninstall.exe file, but to be sure, check the software manufacturer’s site for instructions on how to uninstall. Call their tech support, most are extremely helpful. Caution: be sure any important data files you used with this OS are accessible to your new OS, or offload them to disk, CD, portable drive, etc, so that you can have some recourse in accessing this data through other systems if needed.

just bootup an operating system installation cd and delete the partition with the current operating system on it by pressing D, then press C to install the new operating system
