Is it possible to deactivate the remote control feature on the base unit?

I find it to be detrimental to the idea of having a security system if it can be deactivated by a passer-by with their own HomeGuardian remote control that may happen to have the proper dip-switch settings. I would like to remove this possible security breach by deactivating the remote control feature altogether, if it is possible.
