Is it possible to create nuclear energy without taking risks with the future of the earth and mankind?
The Joint European Torus (JET) lab in Oxfordshire is currently in the process of attempting to create nuclear fusion using a TOKAMAK (A russian acronym) which is basically a giant doughnut of plasma held in by large magnetic fields. There are other s around the world also attempting to fuse tritium and deuterium helium and a neutron which can then be used to heat up water and drive a steam turbine. Currently all tokamaks are in experimental stage, with the energy input being slightly greater than the output.Another method of getting nuclear fusion is intense bursts of laser light on a small pellet of deuterium and tritium again to run a turbine, this is still in the experimental stage, with a good article in the May edition of Physics World by the IOP. Nuclear fission may well be safe in the way it is run, but I am assuming you are also worried about the negative impacts of nuclear waste, which is an issue that cannot be solved other than to bury the waste and ensure it doesn’t cause a
first thing energy can neither be created nor can be destroyed it can only change its form from one to other so it is not possible to create nuclear energy. then I think you are asking of producing electricity by nuclear energy that is possible by using nuclear reactor we use fission reaction to produce electrical energy but we are still working on fusion reaction to produce electrical energy.
