Is it possible to conduct a comprehensive and quantitative health risk analysis for offsite exposures to chemicals that have migrated away from the SSFL?
Quantitative retrospective exposure and health risk assessments would require significantly more contaminant concentration monitoring data as well as detailed emission inventories for all past activities. Unfortunately, the available information is insufficient to conduct such analysis. For this reason, the UCLA study provided worst (or nearly worst) case scenarios with the goal of identifying potential scenarios and locations of exposure concern.
