SecureZIP for z/OS v10 has a new feature called z/OS UNIX File System Support that allows direct access with HFS and zFS files on z/OS. Prior to SecureZIP for z/OS v10: Data from outside the organization is FTP’ed to a UNIX server in the DMZ. The data needs to be processed by an application on the mainframe, and the mainframe has a NFS mount point through HFS to the FTP server in the DMZ.
