Answer It’s possible to have an entire career without an agent – but not something I would recommend. But, if one wanted to only work freelance, you certainly could. There are numerous websites where you can list yourself as a model. Some are pay sites, some are free sites, some a combination. Those same websites also tend to have job listings as well. You can submit your information via the Internet in the blink of an eye, or mail your comp card for consideration. In my opinion, it’s better to use a regional website (like Florida-Models.com or NYCastings.com) than a website that covers the US or world (like onemodelplace.com) It’s just easier I think to look at work opportunities just in your area, rather than sort through and see all the good stuff in another area far from you. If you’re really skilled at being able to tell the difference between legitimate modeling opportunities and scams, the Internet is a great place to find work without an agent.
