Is it possible to accelerate the liquefaction process if liquefaction takes more than one hour?

Typically, if a sample is highly viscous and will not liquefy it becomes evident within about 30 minutes. Since it is recommended that the sample be tested within one hour of collection, a liquefaction period that exceeds one hour is too long. Liquefaction can be accelerated by heating the specimen to 37C and/or by bromelain treatment, and then returning the sample to room temperature prior to testing on the SQA.
