The makeup of dark matter is yet unknown. It will more than likely require interstellar space probes to find the answers we seek in this topic and at the present time this is not a feasible undertaking. Dark matter is suspected to exist in order to explain how our galaxy is held together and spins as it does. Dark matter emits no light or other detectable EM waves. This is why it is called dark. It can however be detected by its gravitational effects. Gravity requires matter therefore dark matter would be something as opposed to a force or nothing. Matter can be baryonic (which is common to our understanding) or nonbaryonic. Dark baryonic matter would be orbs in space which were too small to ignite in nuclear fusion such as brown dwarfs or it could be simple rock or dust matter which is not near a light source (since dark matter does not even reflect light). Since we are speaking of very large amounts of matter (80% of all matter in our Universe), we must perform studies which answer w
