Currently, Atlantic Marine Corps Communities is accepting Active Duty Bachelors, Reservists, DOD Employees and Retirees into housing at Cherry Point. Once a home remains vacant for longer than 45 days and a qualified Active Duty Military family is not willing or waiting to move-in, then a home could be offered to an Active Duty Military Bachelor, Active Duty Reserve Military Bachelor, Reservists,Department of Defense Employee and finally a Retiree. All applicants must qualify at the Military Housing Office and get approval to move into housing. All rules still apply and rent payment is based on the market rate for the home compared to the BAH. DOD employees are cash paying residents.
