Is it possible for villages, cities and communities to become powered by renewable energy such as solar?
Yes it is. Not only that it is essential as fossil fuel and other natural resource costs will begin to escalate as the limited remaining reserves are depleted over the next five to forty years. Solar and solar derived renewable resources are available in sufficient quantities for our continued survival. In fact, by eliminating the use of non-renewable resources that pollute our environment we will reduce health costs, kill fewer people prematurely each year from smog, and create a world that more equitably distributes energy. If we are smart we will also find a way to end our archaic means of international relations that now includes war as a “legal” option for securing energy reserves.
