Is it possible for non pregnant women to lactate?

0

It’s certainly possible… some women who have *never* been pregnant can be induced to lactate by breast pumping, sometimes with the help of the birth control pill and or galactagogues like the drug domperidone. Some adoptive moms and some fetishy types do this. If you’ve been getting (ahem) a lot of nipple stimulation recently, it’s certainly possible you could be starting to lactate again. Breast discharge while not nursing, though, should be checked out by a doctor. It’s very seldom anything bad (between 50-85% of women can, at some point in their lives, induce their breasts to discharge by squeezing), but it can be a response to odd hormonal changes.

It’s possible if your prolactin hormone levels are high. Talk with your doctor. Regards.
