Is it possible for Hurricane Hanna and TD9 could merge to form a mega storm?

TD9 – now Tropical Storm Ike is still a while off from Hurricane Hanna. Ike is in the eastern-middle Atlantic, while Hanna is hovering over the Bahamas, expecting to make landfall Friday. Ike, however, is expected to make landfall Saturday Morning. It’s still too early to tell, so keep a close eye on the weather.

It’s possible to for TD9 (now TS Ike) and Hurricane Hanna to merge. But I doubt it’ll happen. They’re too far apart. I don’t recall a time in the past when the merging of storms occurred like it did in the movie, “A Perfect Storm.
