Is it possible for humans to train Zebras to be ridden like a horse?

They can be tamed, but it’s extremely difficult. Only a superlative horseman can manage it. However, zebras are wild donkeys, not horses (therefore brighter), and reportedly if tamed show remarkable intelligence and adaptability. In the late 19C an English peer (I forget which one) created a sensation by driving a carriage drawn by zebras to the Derby. I’ve never heard of one being ridden, but as someone said, they certainly have the size & strength, so it should be possible. A note of caution for anyone thinking of trying it – they are said to be naturally independent and with a savage streak. Unless you want to be bitten & kicked, or are a horse whisperer, it might be better to forget it.
