Is it Possible for God to Provide Partial Free Will and Eliminate All Evil?

0

Only if people are not evil, which is apparently not the case. The difficulty we see here is that God is a just God, and cannot tolerate evil but yet mankind is evil and wants nothing to do with God. Therefore, eradication of all evil would require the destruction of the world and all those people that are evil – “for the wages of sin are death”. As for free will, God is in complete control and yet we have the ability to choose and exercise free will of our own. We exercise our own judgement and make our own decisions, but the latter does not negate the former – God is still in control. He allows us to freely express ourselves in our rejection of him, and has “given us over” to the fruits of our rejection… We live in an unjust world, because the God of justice has removed himself. He did this because we wanted him to.
