Is it possible for a virus get through the M+Guardian scan?
When a new virus is released on the internet, there is a small window of time when the virus scanning manufacturers have not yet created the virus ‘definition’ which is used to detect and delete the virus from the infected email. During this time, the virus scanning software will not recognize the new virus. It typically takes between 2-8 hours for the virus definition to be created. M+Guardian is updated with the latest virus definitions every 15 minutes or as frequently as new virus definitions are distributed. This will help minimize the chance of viruses entering the system.
