Is it possible for a MIDEX proposal to be reviewed by more than one science theme peer review panel?
Yes, although one theme must be designated as primary. Missions which propose and justify science investigations addressing the goals of more than one science theme will be reviewed by multiple peer review panels. The MIDEX Program Scientist, in consultation with the appropriate Discipline Scientists, will determine when this is justified. It should be noted that generally a proposed science investigation must be considered compelling in at least one panel to be classified as Category I. Proposals which are evaluated at a lower priority in multiple panels are generally not classified as Category I.
