Is it possible for a fourt month old Kitten to recover from Pneumonia?

0

Last week adopted a four month old kitten from a shelter. He was sneezing from the first day. We heard that its normal for kittys and cats to develop URI’s at shelt so we got an appoinment with our normal vet on Friday. He continued to eat, drink and play however he started to cough more particularly at night (like us humans do). We were able to get an earlier appoinment. But Tuesday night he seemed like he was having a rough time. So we panicked and took him to the pet er. The vet informed us that there was a possibility that he had pneumonia so they suggested keeping him overnight and run a bunch of tests and therapies for lots of money. We asked if he would be ok if we took him home with antibiotics and she said yes and suggested to put him in the bathroom with the shower running which we did. The next day my boyfriend took him to the vet and she gave some respitory medication. She did not seem to think he needs medication. He continues to eat, drink and play but his cough is awful.
