Is it okay to wear short distance track cleats to run 1 mile?
No, I wouldn’t recommend it. Distance running and sprinting are very different and your feet/legs/knees would definitly feel it if you would run a mile in those spikes. Sprinters run on the balls of their feet while distance runners usually have their heel strike the ground first. Distance spikes have a little bit of cushion in the heel while sprinters spikes do not. Bring them back and exchange them for some distance spikes.
