Is it okay to (temporarily) feed goldfish… betta fish food?
Goldfish are always hungry, they come that way, but can easily go a week without food. Betta food is too protein-rich for Goldfish who need a primarily vege-based diet. Just don’t feed them until you can get proper Goldfish food. Urgh, I hate it when they give out fish as prizes, if it were kittens they were handing out there would be uproar, but some how fish are ok. Even though Goldfish are actually far more hard work and expensive to keep (they need massive over filtered tanks or large established ponds), and can live twice as long as a Cat!!
