Is it okay to stunt and cheer while pregnant?
well if you are pregnant ya that is a issue you cant cheer jumping around would be to much and you cant lift no one your not supposed to pick up heavy things and you could be fallen on you have to take care if u ur baby and ur responsibilities its time to stop having all the fun and take things slow if you are pregnant its early in ur pregnancy and that’s the most dangerous time. Take care of yourself and congrats and one thing i wanna tell ya dont have a abortion. My quote is dont have sex if you cant handle the outcome protections is 99percent no protection is 100 percent.
You can cheer while pregnant but tumbling and stunting are out. I was a cheerleader in high school, in all american, and was a cheerleading couch if any of my cheerleaders were stunting or tumbling while pregnant I would ring their necks. The problem isn’t the drastic high fall, and for the first 3 months even getting hit in the stomach mildly wouldn’t hurt the baby, the problem would be taking a fall on your tailbone/back. I was able to play all positions in stunts and I know as a base you do take quite a few tumbles on your back side if the flyer comes down wrong.. Getting hit in the back or falling on your back is worse than getting hit in the stomach… so you need to stop the tumbling and stunting… As for the jumps, you can continue to jump and do cheers and what not. I was a couch but I jumped with my team and we did at least 60 jumps a day at every practice for warm up and I was pregnant at the time.
