Is it okay to make my babys formula with bottled water?

We use bottled water (Sparkletts). You couldn’t pay me enough to use tap water to make my daughters bottles. ETA: The experts are still out on the “flouride v. no flouride” debate. Do what you think is best in that regard.

No problem at all! Some doctors actually suggest getting bottled water if you have well water! That being because city water has fluoride in it, which is vital for teeth development! If your still unsure ask your pediatrician to be sure but I think your okay.

I’ve read that bottled water is not sterile. My 8 month old baby is on breastmilk and on formula but I always use cooled boiled water to make her formula. Besides, the bottled water is in plastic bottles and even though they say it’s safe, I think it’s better to use cooled boiled water. Hope that helps.

Yes that should be fine. I use the generic distilled water from the grocery store. Never use nursery water though; the added fluoride is very bad for baby. Go here and educate yourself on the dangers of fluoride: http://www.fluoridealert.org/fluoride-fa… and here: http://www.nofluoride.

Hi, I have always made my sons meals with bottled water. He is fine. No problems. Good luck.
