Is it okay to kiss or have unprotected sex with ORAL herpes?
Yes…. people can get oral herpes through unprotected oral sex (If there’s an outbreak at the time) For example, if you’re partner goes down on you and has a cold sore present… you can get herpes on your private area. You are most likely to catch herpes when your partner’s cold sore first starts coming in- usually then it’s much less noticable than later on when it’s scabbed over! You can get it from kissing too, if there’s an outbreak at the time. They can be both transmitted or hereditary. If you really love the person, and don’t see anything at the time then I’d say go for it, it’s safe. I’d try to be careful each and every time though. Just so it doesn’t spread.
