You have two ways in which you can use tap water for your turtle. One is previously stated (and I personally use that myself since it’s very handy to just throw in the dosage and let it do its job), the other is to leave the water in an open container for a couple of days, till the chlorine is eliminated. You can do that if you’re reluctant to put chemicals in your turtle’s environment, but it might be inconvenient depending on just how much water you need. And as a side note (two, actually)… 1. Despite what JTSarkis states (no offense intended to him though, just do your homework before recommending something that could end badly) – it DOES matter a whole lot what kind of water you use, even though your turtle breaths air. Think of the way it eats. It’s going to ingest that water anyway and you don’t want it washing down its food with chlorine filled water. 2.
