Is it OK to store biodiesel outside / use biodiesel in sub-zero temperatures?
You can store biodiesel outside in very cold temperatures. Like mineral diesel, biodiesel goes waxy at sub zero temperatures. Mineral diesel supplied during the winter from fuel forecourts contains additives called winterising agents that are put into the fuel to keep it liquid in very cold weather. Some biodiesel users mix their biodiesel with mineral diesel in very cold weather (to benefit from the winteriser in the mineral diesel).
