Is it ok to start weaning now?

0

Six months is fine to start weaning. When I had my daughter (she was 7 this week) they recommened between 4 and 6 months, but they have now changed it to recommending 6 months. You know your baby better than anyone else and if he is telling you he is ready for food then he is. I knew it was time with my daugher because she started to mimick me when I was eating and was becomming more hungry during the day. As well as the rice and porridge, try introducing some fruit and veg, like blended carrots or mashed banana. Try just bland foods to start with, and mix in some of his usual milk if you need a thinner consistency.
