Is it ok to print on acetate using a Lexmark Coloured Laserjet printer?

If you are using an ink jet, do a sample printout and see how it works for you. My experience has been spotty, some work, some don’t, so a test is in order. The guy who said lasers get HOT and could melt the acetate, is probably right. I’ve run film acetate through a laser printer (black) (I’m a commercial printer) but, to be honest, the coverage wasn’t all that solid and we were trying to figure out a way to do small pieces of SOLID acetate for printing (that’s the old-fashioned “ink on paper…5,000 sheets an hour” kind of “printing”), and it just wasn’t satisfactory.
