Is it OK to post download links in message board posts or reviews?
The short answer: No. The longer answer: No. Under the heading Unacceptable Conduct the TOS names uploading, posting, emailing or otherwise transmitting any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening… and many other adjectives. As long as the unauthorized dissemination of copyrighted material is considered unlawful, RYM policy will be to disallow the posting of download links in reviews, message board posts, lists or any other public area of the site. The possible exception: The lawful dissemination of audio files is naturally acceptable. Review guidelines stipulate that reviews may contain links to music officially given away for free by the band/artist in question or their representatives.
