Is it ok to marry at the same venue as a relative but 7-8 months apart?
Most definitely. Some brides go crazy thinking the own something. Other brides got married the same day as you, bought the same bridesmaid dresses, used the same venue. There is nothing about your wedding that is different than everyone else. If you live in a small town or have the same budget, the liklihood would be very high that you’d use the same venue. 8 months apart is plenty of time for guests to forget–especially if you aren’t using the same decor. And of course, depending on the relative you may not have the same guests at all. At the very least, one side of the family is completely different. I’d let the other bride know just to make sure she isn’t going to be bridezilla crazy about it. Let her know you like her tastes but aren’t going to be copying her wedding.
