Is it ok to heat up baby bottles in microwave?
The reason that folks fret about heating a baby bottle in the microwave is because the milk can heat unevenly. The thing nearly everyone forgets about is that microwave manufacturers all say in their oven instructions to let food sit for 2 minutes after taking it out to allow heat to distribute. I heat water for nasal rinse in a microwave all the time. Haven’t scalded the inside of my nose yet… 8 oz of liquid heats to comfortably warm in about 20 seconds. Since you’re heating in a baby bottle, you will be able to put the lid on it and shake. That’ll prevent any hot spots.
