Is it ok to freeze them after theyve been seasend and marinated?
Answer Hello Rosie, Personally I don’t like to freeze food that has been opened and handled. Bacteria do not really stop growing in a freezer it only is slowed down. Depending on how strong the marinade is that you used will depend on how strong the chicken taste when you finally cook the chicken. Marinades are used to kill surface bacteria, make things tender and tasty. It will continue to work in the freezer but maybe not as strongly as it would if it were warm. You also did not mention if the chicken sat out or not. If the chicken sat out even for ten minutes, you should never then freeze the chicken. Sometimes I buy meat and immediately place it into freezer bags and freeze if I am planning to use within seven days but I never leave meat in the freezer for a long time and I have never marinated it first. So I guess I really can’t answer your question very well. I do have some advice for you and am sending some information on freezing and a website with information please research t
