Is it ok to do mechanical engineering and aircraft maintenance??

depends on what level. If you are talking degree level, it is doubtful that you would be able to do both at the same time. If you mean study mechanical engineering while working at aircraft maintenance the answer is of course. If you are talking about studying both subjects at national diploma level, the answer is if you have time yes but you will find a lot of overlap. Aircraft maintenance as a job includes mechanical engineering, some electrical, some hydraulic and even some Electronicc engineering. Basically you will get a much broader knowledge though not necessarily the depth of knowledge you might get from Mechanical engineering.
