This doesn’t hurt, since absolute 100% stereo-separation is not necessary. Most sound-cards leak something like 5-10% from one channel to another. As the leaked volume is considerably lower than that of the other channel, the mixing effect is minimal, leaving most mixing to be done inside your brain. You can test the severeness of the channel leak by playing a simple preset (like one create by clicking the New Preset button) and listening to only one earpiece. If you hear a constant tone with no beats, stereo separation is perfect. If you hear a slight beat, there is leaking between channels. Do the same test with the other earpiece, and the result should be the same. Then put both earpieces on. You should now hear the binaural beat strongly and clearly.
