Is it not past time that we stopped giving “aid” to “third world” countries?
I disagree that more fortunate people should stop helping third world countries. The problem in my eyes is that all the money and aid that is supposed to be sent to help these people, never actually gets there. If you look into it a little deeper, you will see that many well off people use this money themselves for plane rides, hotels, meals, football tickets, etc. It is really too bad that we live in a world where people actually do these things. Just tonight I learned that $32 million was added to Obama’s campaign in the past month…..for what? Think how many people 32 million could help if put to use properly. By the way, I like Obama and did not mean for this to get political. In conclusion, look into it a little more. Research the tsunami relief funds and see where that money went for example. Hope you do this as I feel it will clear things up a bit for you.
