It depends on how often you are doing it…if this is like a daily or weekly task then no that is not normal…im not sure how often it needs to be changed but i know its alot longer than it takes for oil to go bad…and i have never had to “add” any. The only reason that wouldnt be that bad for having to add some is if it didnt have enough initally, but there should be no leaks, if there were it would cause a total system failure like if you had a leak in a break line.
