It is perfectly normal for your body to adapt to a weights regime and eventually, for your muscles not to feel sore. The reason why your muscles feel sore when you first start a regime, is that the body is not used to the regime. When you first start doing weights, you create tiny rips in the muscles that heal over time. As your muscles are not used to changing, initially they will rip alot – this causes the release of chemicals that activate pain sensors and you feel sore until the muscle is “healed”. However, when your muscles gets used to the constant ripping (through the continuation of a weights regime over more than 2-3 weeks) and are much stronger = they will 1) rip less and 2)produce less chemicals that activate pain sensors 3) your body gets used to the release of the chemical and is less sensitive towards it.
